Valentines @ the Viceroy

Sadly, the romance and the colors of Valentine's Day are long gone.
On the other hand, spring is on it's way!
The sun was in full force this weekend ( i got a great little tan), hopefully the rain stays away!
This weekend my boyfriend and I spent a romantic weekend
in Palm Springs yet again.
This time we mixed it up + spent our weekend at the VICEROY.
{My favorite designer, Kelly Wearstler's, palm springs design.}
Amazing place. Uber romantic. Modern design. Total relaxation.
I loved every minute of it. Everywhere you look, you are inspired by design.
I wanted to take pictures of it all so I could share it with my lovely readers
but my pictures do not do it justice.
Here are some I found on various travel sites on the net.
I wish you guys could see the amazingness that this hotel is in person.

Did you guys do anything different this Valentines weekend?

peace out Palm Springs

My sweetheart and I came back from Palm Springs today.
We were visiting some family, friends and our favorite thrift shops.
Palm Springs is my favorite place to get away from work, traffic, etc.
Each time we visit, we like to hit up a hotel, have a glass of champagne and sit poolside and chat. Sometimes we even indulge and make way to the Spa for some nice R + R.
I wanted to share some images of our favorite hotel, the parker, designed by Johnathan Adler.

Imagine this,
the sun is setting, the fireplaces are starting up. It's cocktail hour by the pool. Girls are dressed in their saturday night best, the smell of cologne is all around.
We walk around, taking in all the eye candy and even put our feet in the sand that is the poolside beach. It is almost as if the decor time warped us back into the 70's.
Feeling good.
And now it's off to dine at Mister Parker's.
Everything in this place is fantastic.
Especially the ice cream, we tried 7 different kinds...coconut, mint, strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, etc. They have it all.
The chairs, are so comfortable, and amazingly mismatched.
The little devil logo-ed napkins  + menus make me happy, because it makes me feel ok that I have been sinful
with all of the amazing food we have eaten.
Isn't it fun to dine and be sinful????

the ivy

It is not often that i get the chance to meet legendary people. By legendary i mean those who dare to be different, those who put their entire self on the line to bring their dreams to life. My friend Justin is one of those people. I have yet to see his latest creation yet, but i have been fortunate enough to visit Sydney (my favorite city in the WORLD) and his other venues. His latest venture THE IVY has been said to be the most revolutionary establishment in the world. I have heard this from several people, all the way over here in Los Angeles. This is so exciting for me as i got to see this place while it was under construction. I am absolutely in love with the development of real estate, hotels in particular. I am dying to see this place!
Recently a friend of mine sent me these pictures of the IVY that he found on Flickr.
*note the cloud stools in the Lawn are what i sold him from JF CHEN. (Seats like these make for super stylish extra patio seating for your garden. Ceramics can withstand the rain. You can find similar one really cheap at TARGET or WORLD MARKET)
