One thing that I think is essential in every home is a good well designed reading nook. I have an E-decorating client right now, that doesn't have a place to read, sip tea, journal, etc. I know what you're thinking 'that's a huge part of achieving domestic bliss, right?!' Right! Her and her husband are young and fun and their home has lots of exposed wood. So, I thought we could jazz it up a little and get some glam elements into the space. So she can make her tea and have a place to sip it too.

Here are what I envision for an eclectic casual look...

[caramel zebra print rug] - I adore how neutral this rug is, it can go with ANY style of decor.

[tufted teal chair] - I'm very into this style of chair for myself, the high arms keep you snuggled in.

I've got a very exciting thing happening. My Austin apartment is almost finished and I'm prepping it for a pretty fabulous shoot. For now its on the hush, but details will be coming soon. If you have been reading my blog for some time, you know I pretty much change around my home all the time. It is sort of like my creative laboratory where I try out new things. Just recently, I decided that my side table wasn't cutting it because there was barely enough room for a drink and I wanted my current brass coffee table to take its place. I figured while I was looking for another cool coffee table, I could use my fab little black and white tufted bench. I am now obsessed.

It actually is the perfect fit for my living area because its long and narrow. It provides much more space for items and to put your feet up. I'm also loving the black and white pop it has.
