One thing about Austin, the thrift and antique shops are so much fun to shop through. I love collecting amazing finds for the home and I really love the way it looks, especially when I find cool things for my clients. It makes me feel like such a winner. When you travel outside of the US, especially Europe or Latin America, you see these gorgeous homes with collected items that you would never expect all through the home. What I love about exotic homes, they mix so many different styles so well. I love how they pair modern furnishings with gorgeous antiques and items with history. I also love the art. This home has so many beautiful large and collected pieces. It goes so well with all of the unique lighting throughout.

decorating ideas: mirrored screens

As I  decorate my clients home, I'm going to try to give you all more decorating ideas as I come across things I need to tackle. One thing that really stood out to me was finding a solution for a bare corner in the home. It's a bachelor pad but yet still needs to be elegant and sometimes you just don't want to put a chunky piece of furniture in an empty corner. My favorite solution for a forgotten corner? A mirrored screen. It literally works every time.

I love the one we chose for ProjectB. It's an antique mirrored finish so its really soft and beautiful, but not a super stark glare mirror. This is the one I chose.
