It's not very often that I come across home with beige walls that I fall in love with. Well, it happened. I stumbled upon a Canadian design firm (of course, I love everything in Canada right now) called The Design Co. and I am digging their vibe. Their portfolio is pretty chic, tailored yet still trendy and stylish. I love this living room layout but its the zebra rug, blush pillows and black chairs that really give it that good edge. The rest of the home is just as good.

I just love that its luxurious but very minimal. Only a few accents float about, but when you've got the furniture on point you just don't need that much extra business.

Of course I also am partial to the French twist on things. The beautiful chairs, gold detail on the white fireplace, sconces and chic little sheepskin rug.

It's so beautiful, I could absolutely live here.

In just 2 days I will be taking off on my holiday vacation to the Dominican Republic. I am beyond excited to finally get some R and R and can't wait to see sunshine, palm trees and blue water. I love to travel, but I abhor the packing. So, I called on my girl Hitha from Hitha on the Go and asked her for some super travel tips to keep my packing light and in check. [She somehow always manages to check her suitcase on the plane and get everything in there! Like a breeze] I clearly need her help and today I'm sharing it with all of you.

It's always hard for me to pack light so I like this series of videos she has on what to pack for your particular vacations. Watch and see if they work for you. I know I'll be trying her rule of 3 shoes for my trip. Trying being the operative word here. I have such a hard time not bringing them all. I am definitely going to pack her 5 must haves. I like her theory of only bringing things that can be used for multiple purposes, like the blouse for the plane, dinner or as a swim cover up. I also will bring my favorite scarf as a beach blanket, plane blanket and stylish neck wrap. Genius!

For me it's always necessary to pack electronics. Hitha has some great tips for you on that and how to do so in style. I am obsessed with my mophie juice pack. I never leave home without it. Here are a few more things I'm thinking I need for the plane.
