Blissful Bedding: Why pink sheets are a must

Let’s talk sheets. More specifically, let’s talk about pink sheets.

I don’t know about you but for me, bedding is practically the most important thing in the home. Why? Because we spend most of our time at home sleeping and sleeping should be an absolute dream. Your sleep is majorly affected by the bedding you sleep with. From your mattress, to the pillows and the fabrics and textures. You could say that bedding basically plays a huge role in your life.

Did you know that the color of your bedding ALSO has an impact on your sleep? If you pay any attention to Feng Shui, colors are a large part of how it works. Just like aromatherapy, chromotherapy (color therapy) is a tool that you can use in the home to create your best life. I talk about this in my book of course, because I am a BIG believer in this stuff. Anyway, long story short, color affects how we live.

Pink is the universal color of love, which makes it a perfect feng shui color to soothe the energy. Its gentle and delicate feng shui vibrations have a proven soothing effect on one's behavior. You could almost say that, as a feng shui color, pink literally soothes the heart and fills it with love.

Pink sheets help bring the energy of love to your bedroom. So whether you want to enhance your relationship or manifest your soul mate, pink sheets double that energy and intention.

For years I have been studying Feng Shui, color therapy and all the different ways to intentionally use color in the home. So when my boyfriend and I moved in together, I knew that pink sheets was a must for me. After convincing him that pink sheets was a good idea, I put them on the bed. Here is what I experienced:

• Crawling into a nicely made bed with a fresh pair of sheets is a form of self care. It completely brings you the feeling of warmth and comfort.

• It’s an affordable luxury. With fresh, crisp sheets on the bed, it feels like you are in a hotel room. I love that feeling. That’s why I like to keep several sets of sheets, so I can constantly switch them out.

• PINK is happy! I woke up in the morning, staring into the blush colored sheets and it instantly cheered me up. It was like a mood boosting injection. I could totally feel the difference of the white sheet sleep compared to the pink sheet sleep.

Bottom Line: Definitely look into getting some blush pink sheets. They are totally worth it! I was sent a pair by California Design Den and we love them. At first, they weren’t as comfortable as I like, (bamboo sateen cotton sheets are my favorite) but after a few sleeps, they’ve gotten more comfortable. The boyfriend is in LOVE with them and has no problem sleeping in our new blush pink sheets.
