Hello you gorgeous soul.
Today, I am going to just get right into it. Have you ever felt like you kinda just needed something new? A new wave of inspiration. Or a new class or conversation to get you out of your head. And for some reason we think it needs to be something big or dramatic to turn it all around. Perhaps you feel like going shopping for a new expensive accessory or open a bottle of champagne with friends. You just know you need a big ‘shift’ to get you out of the funk. I think we have days where we just feel a little off or a little blah. You aren’t feeling very ‘best self’ so It’s at these moments where you need something that can re-align you, quickly.
When you are trying to manifest or be the creator/designer of your life, nothing will take you off course more quickly than being out of your alignment. You must be in positive spirits and blissful vibrations for you to manifest and attract what you want. It’s truly that simple. Your work is not to force or control anything, it is to work diligently at keeping yourself at the highest vibration possible. Alignment over hustle.
I, too, used to jumpstart a bad day with a glass or two of bubbly, it seemed to make me feel more fabulous. However, after a while that just got old for me. As I have gotten older, and more spiritual, I don’t enjoy the way the alcohol buzz makes my body feel after a few hours. A workout could do the trick too but it wouldn’t always give me the clarity I would needed at the time. So I wanted to share my personal remedy for these times in life. Introducing……….oracle cards.
Okay so here is the deal. They aren’t as woo woo or voo doo as you might assume. I used to be a little intimidated by them, too. They aren’t going to tell you your future BUT they really help you to connect to your intuition when you feel blocked in that area. I have come to loooooooove oracle cards. I have a few decks and they are so beautiful and glamorous. They truly helped me get back to alignment in no time. I love giving oracle readings for my friends too.
What are oracle cards? Oracle cards are used for spiritual guidance and wisdom. They are usually a beautifully illustrated deck of about 52 cards which have things like affirmations, inspiring words, intentions, things with meaning, etc. You can play with them when you need some inspiration or realignment. Any time I have a difficult decision, problem or just a situation I need guidance on, I go straight to my oracle deck. I currently have really loved working with the Kuan Yin Oracle Deck.
Here is how you do it.
Before you work with your oracle deck it is important to set the scene. I usually like to do this ritual in the morning or at night before I go to sleep. I like to make it as glamorous a moment it can be. So, a beautiful tray, fabrics, flowers, candles, crystals, I always wear my crystal jewelry, and I keep a journal and pen close by. You can play some Kundalini music in the background. Perhaps some coffee, tea or wine.
Then I pick up the deck. I shuffle all of the cards face down for a while. This is where you get a little mini meditation in. Close your eyes, take deep breaths, really try to quiet the mind and connect to the heart. Think about a particular situation or circumstance that you have questions about. Allow the situation to sit in your energy for a bit. While you are shuffling the cards, your heart and intuition will speak to you by choosing the cards for you. Pay attention to your instincts. Your inner guidance is the wisdom you really need to hear, so tune in to it as much as possible.
Each deck will have instructions that go with it, typically in a little book inside the box. There are several different ways to do a reading for yourself but the standard one I like to go with is the 3 card personal spread. So I shuffle until I feel ready and I select three cards that I feel drawn to. Don’t overthink it, trust your gut on this one. Sometimes, a card will pop out of the deck, almost as if by magic. Trust that. That is a sign the card is meant for you.

Then you can flip them over and grab the guidebook which will tell you more about the cards you have pulled. Don’t take anything too seriously but see how the wisdom affects you. Take in what you feel is right and meant for you. Your intuition will recognize what it needed to hear. Just observe and quietly take it all in.
Typically, giving myself a reading always jolts me back to a more positive mind frame. I always feel more at peace and clear in terms of how to move forward. They say that the only sign you need is the one that makes you feel happy, that’s how you know it’s the one that is meant for you. If something makes you feel anxious or heavy, perhaps that is actually not meant for you. Tune in and listen. Everything you need to know is inside of you.
