Currently Craving: Sands Hotel and Spa designed by Martin Lawerence Bullard

One of my absolute favorite ways to get inspiration for my jewelry designs, is through travel. In fact, traveling has always given me inspiration in my life. I will never forget the moment when I knew I was meant to be an interior designer. It was at an impromptu weekend getaway at a boutique hotel. The hotel was designed so fabulously and I could not get enough. Interiors and design has always been something that feeds my soul and spirit.

These days, we spend so much time on social media and I can’t help but travel vicariously. It is one of my favorite things to do on instagram, I spend a mental vacation by stalking gorgeous hotels, boutiques and restaurants around the globe. I especially love places like these pink showstoppers.

Case in point, my latest obsession Sands Hotel Spa in Indian Wells, California. A hip little town just outside of Palm Springs. When I first laid eyes on the hotel, I immediately thought of Khloe Kardashian’s home designed by Martin Lawerence Bullard. So, it came as no surprise to learn that MLB designed this hotel too. It’s very bohemian, exotic glam which is one of my favorite looks and I in love with all of the eye candy found on their instagram snaps.

This room is probably my favorite. I love the pops of soft pink against, marble, mirrored tile backsplash wall above a sitting area. The detailed ceiling wallpaper in a very Moroccan inspired pattern. I also love the black and silver Moroccan poufs, they make a perfect foot stool and gorgeous decorative accents.

I have to say, I’ve never been too big on dramatic, patterned tile but I love this black and white nook here. On my recent trip to Isla Mujeres, Mexico, I fell in love with this modern floral style pattern of tile. Tile is a great way to accent an outdoor wall. It gives it a little something extra.

Here is a peek inside of the restaurant, The Pink Cabana. Love the name, right? I also love the wallpaper. It’s a spin on the popular Martinique Wallpaper, like in the Beverly Hills Hotel, just a lighter vibe with a pale green and white color. It really accents the pink ceiling so well in addition to the pink pleated banquette for seating. I just love it.

Happy Valentines Day my loves.

Here in Texas, it is extremely cold outside and tomorrow we’re getting a deep freeze. Everything will be shut down, it feels a little like quarantine again. Sigh.

When stuck indoors, for some reason, I suddenly realize that I need so many things off of Amazon. It’s like all of a sudden, there are certain things that I just can’t possibly go one more day without. Next thing you know, I am eagerly anticipating the things that are going to raise the vibe of my home.

One. First and foremost. I have been searching for the perfect home slipper. I want something fluffy and pink. I also need something that exposes my toes, I hate my toes being covered when I’m home. I just like them to breathe. I also love anything memory foam. So these pretty pink slippers will be here in a few days and I cannot wait.

Two. While looking up pink pancake recipes for Valentines Day, I came across this adorable pink, heart shaped non stick pan. Which is absolutely adorable and something I can use to make omelettes, frittatas or anything really. I just know Roman will love it.

Three. It is no secret that I love pink and I love gold too. So the moment I laid eyes on this set of flatware, I knew that was it. Can you imagine the pretty table settings you can create with a set of pink and gold cutlery?!

Four. If you haven’t listened to my latest podcast episode, I really encourage you to do so. I share an honest look at my perception on not sweating the small stuff. So I was inspired to grab this book ‘don’t sweat the small stuff in love’!

Five. Listen, in the last couple of weeks, I have NOT been watching what I eat. I am typically a pretty healthy eater but I have been totally slacking. As hard as it is, I know that having healthy meals ready to go is a huge help. Especially as a mom and a small business owner, am I right? Meal prepping is a MUST. And the best way to get me in the mood to meal prep is pretty pink glass containers.

Six. Every woman needs a girl cave or an office, craft room. You know, some room where she can allow her feminine energy to really shine through. Especially for those of us that are boy moms.
