Now that was a weekend huh? Who else has a jam packed crazy filled Memorial Day weekend? This is one of my favorite holidays because it really just kicks off the summertime season. It rained so much in Austin and I think its going to rain all week. There is something special about the rain though, I just love to get very domestic when its pouring out...light candles, play movies, etc. It gave me a lot of time looking at magazines, pinterest, and getting as much inspiration as I could.
Right now, a few things I'm loving for the home....exposed wood accents. Yes. The total French country shabby chic vibe. I think it looks so good against other modern pieces. Like this vanity area. The mirror really sets the tone and completes the mix for the rest of the look. I adore the silver, too!
Now this headboard is not exactly the wood. I just LOVE the natural fabric mixed with the mirrored pieces. Get this one here, its on a MEGA sale! I just think this natural element in your home, can add a summer beach vibe element that is needed in these next few months.
Now this look may be a little overboard, but for me I am thinking about adding a few light wood lamps like these to my bedside tables to incorporate some of this magic. It will look chic amongst my very edgy metal & glam bedroom items.
