How to turn up the glamour at home: add a mirror wall

I recently spent the afternoon at Restoration Hardware with a client looking for a few things and I was so incredibly inspired. I'm always inspired by their showrooms, they are just so relaxing and beautiful. I especially love the outdoor areas with water fountains and a sea of greenery. As I was walking up the staircase, I realized just how grand it felt with the beautiful natural light and walls of mirrors from floor to ceiling. It really got me thinking just how glamorous a wall of mirrors really is. 

Back when I was shopping the antique streets in Madrid, El Rastro, I fell in love with the sunburst mirrors everywhere. They totally have the most gorgeous gold round mirrors and every little shop had them hanging in groups on the wall. It's such a chic move. So, when I see it in any space, I naturally fall in love. 

Mirrors add light, reflections of beautiful things and just amp up the glam factor in your space. Especially the ones with antiqued mirror, something about them is just so naturally glam. 

To really take the glamour up even more, add a beautiful crystal chandelier. That is a sure way to dazzle your mirror wall.

Chic Houston Boutique: Shabby Slips

I have done a LOT and I mean a LOT of shopping while in Houston. I never realized how much this city had to offer, especially in terms of great design. I didn't have time to hit up all the shops I wanted to go to but I wanted to share two of my favorite with you. . .

Shabby Slips by Renea Abbott was the most intriguing for me. This store was completely my style. Of course all black, white and gold is everything to me. I really love the new pieces mixed in with antiques, it really makes for a classic look with major personality. It's fantastic! I was pretty much obsessed with every chair and table in the place. 

I also stumbled upon this incredible brass + crystal light fixture that absolutely rocked my world. I am dying to get my paws on this glamorous piece.
