Here's the truth nobody tells you: reading the book is the easy part. Don't read these books the way you'd read a novel, cover to cover and done. Read them as a workbook. Every time something lands — a sentence that makes your stomach drop or your chest tighten — stop and journal on it right there. That reaction is your nervous system pointing directly at a money block.

Try this simple journaling prompt after every chapter:

  • What belief about money did this chapter challenge?

  • Where did I learn that belief, and is it even true?

  • What would I do differently if I already believed I was wealthy?

This is where the real transformation happens — not in the reading, in the reflecting.

2. Identify your specific money blocks (and name them out loud)

Every single one of these authors will tell you the same thing in different words: your income is capped by your beliefs, not your effort. As you read, start keeping a running list of your personal money blocks. Common ones I hear from women in my community:

  • "If I charge what I'm worth, people will think I'm greedy."

Once a block is named, it loses its grip. You can't dissolve what you won't look at.

3. Rewrite your money story with new affirmations

For every limiting belief you uncover, create a new affirmation to replace it — and actually use it. Don't just write it down once and forget it. Say it in the mirror. Put it on a sticky note on your monitor. Whisper it before you check your bank account. Repetition is what rewires the subconscious, not a single read-through.

  • "The more I receive, the more I can give."

  • "I am allowed to be resourced, supported, and abundant."

4. Take one aligned action per week, not a hundred at once

This is where so many women get stuck — they read an entire stack of money mindset books, feel inspired for two days, and then nothing changes because they never took real-world action. Manifestation isn't passive. It's inspired action paired with an aligned mindset.

Pick one tangible step each week that moves you toward your financial goal:

  • Raise your prices (even by a little)

  • Send the pitch, application, or proposal you've been sitting on

  • Open that investment or high-yield savings account

  • Set a boundary around your time or energy that protects your income

  • Have the money conversation you've been avoiding

Small, consistent action compounds. That's true in finance and in mindset work.

5. Design your physical space to match your new money story

Your environment is a direct reflection — and reinforcement — of your subconscious beliefs. If your home feels cluttered, chaotic, or stuck, it's very hard to feel expansive and abundant internally. This is exactly why I'm such a huge believer in pairing your inner mindset work with Feng Shui.

But internally, I was running a story at complete odds with the success I wanted. I didn't believe I was qualified enough to charge premium prices or attract the clients I actually wanted. So even when opportunities appeared, I would undercharge, over-deliver, and burn out. My self concept was setting my ceiling.

The shift happened when I stopped trying to earn my worth through performance and started choosing a new story about who I was. I began deciding — deliberately and daily — that I was someone success came naturally to. That I was someone whose work had value. That I was someone the universe was actively conspiring to support.
