An Art filled home in Andalusia

One thing about Austin, the thrift and antique shops are so much fun to shop through. I love collecting amazing finds for the home and I really love the way it looks, especially when I find cool things for my clients. It makes me feel like such a winner. When you travel outside of the US, especially Europe or Latin America, you see these gorgeous homes with collected items that you would never expect all through the home. It's almost intoxicating to see. Take for example this Andalusian home...

What I love about exotic homes, they mix so many different styles so well. I love how they pair modern furnishings with gorgeous antiques and items with history. I also love the art. This home has so many beautiful large and collected pieces. It goes so well with all of the unique lighting throughout.

selecting finishes for my new bamboo chairs

For as long as I can remember, I have been obsessed with the Chippendale style bamboo chairs. My grandmother had them in the formal dining room growing up. Her dining room was always very Palm Beach chic. Pinks, green, florals, antiques,etc. So, finally I have gotten my hands on her set...the set we grew up sitting in, with so many holidays and dinner party memories on them. I am over the moon about having them, especially because we have such a large family, I was sure someone else would steal them. Now, they are mine all mine..heeheheehheehhehe. The thing is, how am I going to refurbish them? My mind is swirling with ideas...

I love everything black right now, so I really want to lacquer them up in high gloss black and add some good fabric. Perhaps white, zebra, leopard or shall I stay with all black on black?

Or what if I did black and white stripes? Thats a classic I have long loved.

They all look so good. I can barely pick one. Now, I also would consider going with an all white chair for a fresh and clean look that screams cozy comfort.
