Austin Style : Blonde Rehab Salon

Over the weekend I was back in Austin getting some work done, checking out the Xgames and getting my hair done. One of my besties + branding/coaching clients has really done an amazing job with her hair business. I share more of her story and branding journey in Unleash Your Ista. I am super proud of her, so I had to share some photos of her boutique salon in South Austin. 

She rented out a small room in a salon and completely transformed about 200 sqft into an amazing little blonde bungalow. She markets herself as "blonde rehab". Her specialty is creating the perfect blonde color for your look. She has also created the perfect look for her salon. Don't you just love the wallcolor? Benjamin Moore Dark Harbor. One of my favorites! 

 I gifted her the gold LOVE print and am so beyond excited she used it in her space. Most pieces are vintage finds throughout, she is the queen of thrifting (I think thats why we are friends). I'm also obsessed with the custom door glam job by my fave custom girl Erin Ashley. Gold studs are everything, no?

It takes a LOT to market yourself well and do it stylishly. What I am most proud of is that she didn't stop at any cost to make her business a full on experience. She didn't just set up shop, she created a vision and brought it to life. She gives you a cocktail while your are getting your hair done, in a gorgeous gold glass, with some mood music, ambient lighting and amazing smelling candles.

Killer color combo : beige & blush

I've found that many of my clients are into beige, especially beige sofas. They find that its the safest bet when committing to something that costs so much. I do all I can to try to get my clients to be a little bit more bold, but sometimes you've just got to work with what they want. So, I like to dream up pretty ideas to go with something like a beige sofa. Right now, I'm all about pairing it with blush and bits of gold. 

It's tailored, not too feminine and very chic looking. The more deco and vintage accents you bring in, the better. Eclectic pieces in layered neutrals can make for very interesting design. 

Even the boldest of bold designers, Kelly Wearstler, can rock a good beige sofa look.
