I am a HUGE fan of grey in the bedroom. It's just a warm neutral that keeps romance alive with its moodiness. So, I'm currently working on a small guest bedroom in partnership with HGTV Home x Sherwin Williams to find my perfect grey paint. My inspiration shot was this photo above and pretty much everything Ryan Korban does, especially his apartment.
I wanted a warm grey, like with a little bit of muddy brown so it can go with the rest of the house. My choice was Highland Grey. Which was PERFECT! Full disclosure, I was gifted this paint to test out the new product and I am being totally honest here when I tell you this paint is the BOMB. Let me tell you why I really, really LOVE this paint. Underneath this ONE COAT of grey is a very dark color. It took me literally ONE COAT and it covered everything. It's the HGTV Home by Sherwin Williams Showcase line.
A lot of my clients use the excuse of not wanting to go dark on the walls because of the difficulty of painting over a dark color. Well ladies and gentleman, not if you find the right paint!
Please excuse the blue tape on the window below. I just want to show the richness of the color and it took us one afternoon to paint the room. Now for me, a girl on the go, or anyone who loves to do home projects, THIS paint is for you. I've tried a lot of paints before and this one just goes on thick and rich and even. Easy, Breezy. I love it.
I think my inspiration for this room is going to go a little something like this mix. . .black, gold, grey, white and silver. So lovely.
