I absolutely love to travel and I love to move. I'm part Hungarian so there is definitely a bit of gypsy in me. One of the places on the top of my 'must travel to' lists is Monaco. I constantly daydream as to what life would be like in the South of France. After seeing this incredible restaurant design, I now realize that I must get there fast, for design inspiration and research purposes of course. Black and white marble floors, gold with black everywhere and pops of olive green. White tables with gold bases, hello! It's got my name written all over it.
Meet Monaco's very own Chinese restaurant, Song Qi by Allan Yu (the guy who created Hakkasan). Paris-based architects Emil Humbert and Christophe Poyet created a space so glamorous and reminiscent of a Gatsby movie with the Art Deco vibe. Also, notice the ceiling sheen. It's bouncing off such good shimmery light. I love the drama of the gold stakes in a semi dune shape, it adds privacy and an element of impact. The floor is beyond with the star pattern, I just love its movement.
I'm dying over the black and gold legs of all the seating. The glamour really is in the details. I also really love the olive green as opposed to the more typical use of emerald green. I much prefer olive.
Who else is ready to jet off to Monaco and eat Chinese food with me?
