Currently crushing on: all white everything

I am leaving for Los Angeles today and when I think back on my days living in LA, I just think of the color white. White because it reminds me of the beach life. White because it looks so glam for poolside glamour. White because it's so clean and I've never really been able to pull it off in an entire room all by myself + wearing all white sort of stresses me out. Even though I love it madly. 

In my NYC apartment ( see above ) I used all white in my furniture but black and gold in accents. That's my comfort zone. I am really loving me some all white though and here are some images that are currently inspiring me and making me so ready for summer.

Vibing on this white carved console. Everyone could use a white sofa like this one. A black 3 arm floor lamp like this modern one is PERFECTION! Jonathan Adler makes the most chic white coffee table I have ever seen. I absolutely love this selenite candle vase. Gorgeous. A silver side table also adds a hint of glamour to the space. Crushing so hard on this throw blanket with tassels.

Domestic Bliss: bringing fashion home

These warmer days have me feeling excited that I get to work from home and stay in the cool AC. It has me reflecting on what I've been wearing at home. My grandmother was the ultimate 'home' girl, I don't think I can remember seeing my grandmother not look fabulous at home. She would wake up and head directly to her vanity to get herself ready to make our family breakfast. She would sashay out in her fabulous blue silk patterned robe, to this day I am in love with that robe, she still has it. In the afternoons, she would throw on these fabulous caftans while serving lemonade to us by the pool. At night, while giving us late night ice cream, she would wear her soft nightgowns. When she would clean the kitchen she had fabulous rubber gloves and when cooking her aprons were feminine and floral. Always. The girl didn't miss a beat. 

This is something I still try, operative word is try, to emulate to this day. Just because you are at home all day doesn't mean you shouldn't look absolutely fabulous while doing laundry, making sandwiches or even working at your home office. Let's take a page out of my grandmothers play book and step up our fashion at home. I'm putting together a few looks that are really inspiring me right now. . .

These black "moonlight" pajamas are insanely soft, made of modal which is like heavenly fabric. I have 2 pair. They travel so lightly. I love this set of navy pajamas from J.Crew. I also adore a pj short set too in the summer months. How pretty is the grey dot silk set? Don't forget to get yourself some slippers, I have my eyes on these black Tempurpedic ones. I'm also thinking I may need to get myself a chic nightgown like this, I love the touch of lace. If you live where its warm and you're feeling flirty, try this pretty peach and lace set. 

There is not a more luxurious feeling that finding that plush robe in your hotel closet and throwing it on so you can relax. I believe that everyone should have this luxury at home. Indulge in a beautiful robe for yourself and see the magic of domestic bliss come into play. 

I have forever longed for a robe from La Perla, this black silk one with white lace...ooooph. I so want it. I also love the kimono style robe, these come in black and cotton candy and are fun for warmer months. This Natori robe in a beautiful silk fabric is just how my grandmothers was, so elegant and beautiful. How gorgeous is this light pink butterfly robe? The barefoot dreams robe is an all time favorite, so plush and cozy.
