Why you should go for a grey kitchen...

The color grey is pretty fascinating.

It has quickly become the modern neutral of our times. More often than not, grey is used in the homes of young professional couples and hip families. Some of the most glamorous rooms are layered in greys. I totally love this. One of my clients right now is selecting finishes for their kitchen and we are drawn towards going grey. They have small children and want a kitchen area that is family friendly and easy to clean.

Grey is a perfect color to hide messes and unsightly imperfections in cleaning mastery. I'm all about going for a soft grey on the cabinets for that very reason, bright white can look modern but is extremely unforgiving. 

Want to know something even more cool? Grey is actually a pretty powerful color according to Feng Shui. In Feng Shui, grey is a metal color and metal colors will infuse strength and clarity into situations. It brings a crisp and sharp energy to the room, it's probably not the best in the bedroom or kids rooms where you want a more nurturing and comforting vibe.

A kitchen is an area of a home where the family comes together for togetherness, where you discuss with your family all the problems and stresses that life brings. You want this area to bring you strength, mental clarity, a sense of grounded-ness and security. I'm all about grey in the kitchen. Also, it just looks so incredibly modern and chic.
