I always say, "when in doubt, go black". . .it's just such a good classic color that adds elegance whenever its used in interiors or fashion for that matter. At the moment, I've got a project I am working on and it needs a little pop in the living room. I suggested to my client that we paint the back of her built ins black to create a pop. I absolutely love the way things pop against black.

Over the weekend, I got possibly the best news ever. My mom, who is an avid thrifter like me, thought perhaps I may like this gold bookcase. Not knowing that I have been searching for a Milo Baughman for DIA brass etagere pretty much my entire decor career, I was shocked when she found it and ran straight to that thrift store. Get this, it was only $75. I bargained them down to $60. Are you kidding me?
She is just so absolutely gorgeous. I just love her. Now, I don't know what to do with her. I started styling her up with what I currently have no room for, all of my books + a few art pieces. But I really am wanting to create a whole vibe for this space. Something more dramatic. So I wanted to get a little bit of styling inspiration and see what's best for my new entryway nook.
