It’s no secret. When it comes to decorating the home, I am a maximalist at heart. However, I have learned just how important it is to live a more simple, cleared out, decluttered life. Minimalism seems to be the way to live more effectively. So, what is a maximalist to do?

Well, after being incredibly inspired by this gorgeous wood console table styled a few different ways, it led me to thinking about how to get the maximalist look while still being organized and simple.

01 | Collections of glass

Glass is one of the best finishes to decorate with in any space where you want to feel more space and calm. It has a quality that brings a light feeling to a space.

I just love this beautiful display of similar colored glass vases with simple flowers in each one. It’s a way to have a clean look while still going for a maximalist vibe. It’s light, gorgeous and organized.

You will also want to use similar color flowers to keep the look pulled together.

02 | Incorporate Baskets

Or other stylish looking organization solutions. It’s a great way to sort your things while looking pulled together and stylish.

03 | A neutral color palette.

Keeping things in a strict color story for one vignette is a great way to work this look. It lets the eye breathe. It also gives room for you to style with your favorite things. I always love neutrals and whites together.

04 | Create Balance

Weekend decorating idea: spruce up your coffee table

Decorating my new condo is all that is on my mind lately so anytime I find something I like, I buy it for my coffee table. After organizing all of the things I bought, I realized that I might need to get a bigger coffee table than the one I planned on. I was going to order the new Nate Berkus table but it was on backorder for over 3 months and it was a bit too small for me. Now I am reconsidering getting one of these. It got me to thinking about coffee table styling. Why not switch it up every once and a while and decorate it differently for different seasons or moods. If you are anything like me, you pay attention to the seasons, the energy and right now a new moon is happening with some serious movement in the air.
