Monday Musings | as May approaches...

1. I am currently loving the feeling of large mirrors in the home settled next to greenery. With May fast approaching, this gives off energy, light, fresh air and vibrance that I really love. Try placing an oversized mirror (like this one) next to a window with lots of natural light. 

2. It's high time for outdoor entertaining, especially before it gets too hot to sit outside for long periods of time. Did you see this post I did on outdoor soirees? See here and here. 

3. Do you ever feel like everything just seems to be so difficult? There are definitely times I do. So, this quote "if it was easy, everyone would do it" keeps me on track. Framed it. 

4. I am addicted to coffee. I am contemplating quitting for 21 days and taking a green smoothie morning detox. Has anyone ever had the green glowing smoothie?

5. White manicures. I am ready for them. This is my absolute favorite polish. 

6. Fresh air, white walls + white lighting. It's so welcoming. I love this mix of a French fireplace juxtaposed with modern lighting. So chic. 

7. Definitely daydreaming of palm trees. 

8. Motivating and encouraging words on posters in the home are fantastic. This next month, I feel my vibe is open and welcoming new things, adventures, people, etc. I want this poster "Why, hello".

9. I love love love dinner parties under the stars. This pic inspires me to make a good white wine sangria.

How to make your bed, the hotel way

During Springtime, it's always about fresh and new beginnings and with that I like to do bedroom makeovers. I absolutely love new bedding. This Spring Calvin Klein Gazelle collection has launched and I just had to outfit my bed in this gorgeous beige collection.There is a soft sheen to the duvet and pillows that just look amazing in my bedroom, especially against my black walls. 

I don't believe that you have to spend an arm and a leg on bedding, but I do believe that you should invest in your bedding with the best that you can afford. My sheets are always luxuriously soft. Everyone who knows me, knows that I am a NUT about good bedding and making up my bed everyday. The great thing about beautiful bedding, is that its fun to look at when your bed is all made up. You know that feeling, when you walk into a hotel room and the bed is made up and looks beautiful. It just makes you feel like a rock star. You can totally achieve this at home & I am going to show you how.
