Throwing together a last minute Mother's day brunch? I probably will be doing the same. Not everyone feels like being the 'hostess with the mostest' but when it comes to this very special holiday, it can actually be very fun. My mother and grandmother are just like me, so usually what I like, they like. It's easy to find things that they absolutely adore. Here are a few easy key essentials to making a brunch at home a little more fun and glamorous. . .

You'll want to start out the morning with a theme in your head so you can make a list of what you need when you run to the store. First, I start out with a drink in mind. My favorite is the mimosa, because who doesn't love a good mimosa. Plus, it looks fantastic with a classic table setting in black, white, greys with the pretty pop of yellow. Not a huge fan of O.J.? Next, I determine what we will be eating by the time of day the party is. Will it be before noon or after? Before noon, I got for eggs + croissants + fruit. After, I'll get heaver with the brunch style, pancakes, waffles, french toast. Not sure yet? Try these amazing crepe squares, I have been dying to taste these. If you are throwing the party during they day and the weather is nice, why not try bringing your indoor furniture outdoor for a nice twist on the event?

The last thing you will want to grab at the store? Flowers and candles. These are the 2 accessories that make the table, even if you left out everything else. I prefer long tapered candles in candlesticks (like in the photo above), they are cheap and you can cut the wick to have a super small flame. Now for the flowers, you don't have to break the bank to get a gorgeous bouquet. Try placing smaller vases with only a few stems cut down to size and place along the table center.

To step up your table style even more, why not place some photographs from around the house on the table with beautiful family photos for mom to see. Don't have photos? Write sweet words to her or print some cool ones out, and pop them in the frame. . .

Also, for wine and bubbly, be sure to display in ice buckets for a majorly sophisticated impact.

Who doesn't love the look of a good bohemian room? I consider myself more of a modern kind of girl, however I do have my more boheme moments. As long as its beautiful and glamorous, I can appreciate any style. Boho glam can go in so many different directions and I've got a few friends who just love the boho glam vibe and they are always asking for ways to polish up their home style because they worry about the clutter. So, because there really is no way to define the look, I put together a list of my 10 must have essentials for bohemian glamour. As long as you have these essentials, the rest can stay or go. . .

1. Antiques. You've got to be open to decorating with things that have a vintage flair. Whether it be an antique headboard or a gorgeous vintage chandelier, the layers of mixing old and new is the best part of the boheme feeling. Be sure to incorporate at least 2 or 3 things with some history. If you are nervous about using antiques, learn how to cleanse the energy here.

2. An element of animal print: Zebra. Cheetah. Tiger. All of it works. You will want to make sure that your room has some exotic-ness.

3. Cool collections. Whether it be stacks of magazines or a collection of mercury glass candles, boho glam is all about layering. Collections are a perfect way to display your sense of maximalism without looking too chaotic. I love mixing collections of artwork, I have a collection of vintage female art paintings that adds some boho glam-ness.

4. A peacock chair. Every good bohemian room must have one. They are cozy and oh so boho. Get yours here.

5. Candles + Lanterns. There is something about candles that go with boho and the lanterns create an atmosphere of warm weather outdoor glow. This is essential for bohemian living.

6. A woven wall hanging. You've got to get on board with woven things hanging on your wall. You can go easy with a dream catcher, step it up to a macrame hanging piece or get bold and throw a rug on the wall. However bold you want to go is up to you, but its an essential none-the-less.

7. Bring on the color. Layering is the basic start for bohemian, you'll want to layer everything. So, don't be shy with the color. A little secret: all colors go together. Just find the colors that you like. and make you feel glamorous.

8. Touches of fur. You will always want to add a little bit of fur here and there. It always looks especially good on a cozy chair. Also, moroccan poufs are kind of the epitome of bohemian glamour. Get one and place it in any seating area for impact.

9. Pile on the pillows. No matter what room it is, the more pillows the merrier. Textures and fabrics are what a make a space feel bohemian, so don't be shy with this must have element.
