Office space of the day: modern & marvelous

Office spaces are my weakness, mostly because I believe that creating an uplifting and beautiful workspace is essential for an optimal workday. I fell hard for this gorgeous off the kitchen workspace. I also love the black molding and white walls. Naturally I had to see more of this gorgeous space. New York Times covered this beautiful home and now I am kind of addicted to black kitchens. I love the contrast of the black and white obviously which carries through the home. I also really love how the black cabinets with glass fronts just highlight white ceramics. The wood and modern furniture complete the look. 

As do these gorgeous Tom Dixon pendants lights, they do everything for me. Get them for your kitchen...

Here is a shot of the living room. I think its a pretty gorgeous, eclectic mix and I really like it. The black arch light is another one I am just crazy about mostly because its black of course. It just adds such polish, don't you think?

lighting love: square lanterns

Oh, what a weekend it was here in Austin. The ACL festival has taken this town to another level. I love the energy that Austin gets during festival seasons, it reminds me of my beloved NYC. Now that things have calmed down a bit, I can focus again on work. I've been looking at lighting for a new project and have fallen absolutely in love with these square lanterns. I just love what they do for this modern space. 

Now I am all about these bad boys. They are sized just right for huge ceilings, but also can freshen up a more quaint space like this cheery little bathroom.

There is nothing more romantic and dreamy than a rustic kitchen, especially in a town like Austin. This is totally the place for this wooded vibe. I fell in love with these wood square numbers, they're just so fun and I adore how they look in this kitchen.
