Transitioning from summer to fall is my favorite season change. I love the way the crisp cold air starts to feel after a hot summer. I love to start wearing boots again and layering clothes. I'm usually in love with all the greenery after summertime. I love the way plants incorporate the emerald color into the home in the warmer months. Then when fall comes around emerald comes into fashion and I always want everything in green around this time. It transitions so nicely. The color green is the color of balance, harmony and growth. From a psychology perspective it symbolizes the balance of heart and emotions. It makes me really want to play with this color and incorporate into my life NOW.

You can just feel the fall essence in this space. I love the black candles and the dark lighting. This is exactly where you want to relax after a long day with some soft music in the background. Black and emerald go so well together, not only in interiors but in fashion as well.

I love a painted ceiling in any color but this green really makes the room sing. This would be an easy way to get green into a space without taking over the entire room. Who else needs some emerald in their life?

Every once and while, there comes a time when that impromptu dinner party gets sprung on you. Being the decorista that I am, I always feel pressure that the table should be completely stylish and fun. When you're a busy working gal, what do you do? Thank God for Target. I dug into my reserves and pulled out some placemats and vintage glasses + chargers. These are pretty much staples in my life. I've been bored with my dish ware so I went straight to Nate Berkus area of Target to get some chic ish.

I love this antique mirrored tray. It seemed like the perfect centerpiece for an easy setting.

I also love the gold pattern on this big bowl that I will make the salad in. It's chic, no?

A small little gold item just adds some dimension to a tabletop, so I thought I'd grab it. Plus, its very "fall".

My jaw also dropped when I found this boho style diamond set of dishes. Chic but not overdone, which I really like.

I've also been dying to use my gold hammered flatware. I'm in love with it, it just shines.
