Weekend entertaining: tablescape by Barneys

I've got a full weekend ahead of me this weekend. Having a little dinner party & packing up my things and moving to a new space. Yes, there is some big news coming ahead which I will fill you in on soon. Most importantly, I am running around trying to get some extra fun things for a more glam tabletop and I am kind of in love with everything Barney's has going on for the home sweet home right now. 

The buyers for Barney's are coming from a really fresh palate that I love love love.. Black and white contrasting looks, dashes of gold and silver, deep greens and neutral grays. It's all my favorite looks right now. Glamorous and earthy. I'm a Capricorn so earthy things always appeal to me, just as long as its still glam.

ashlina's guide to austin: Hotel St. Cecilia

I haven't done much writing on my favorite places in Austin and I think its about time I do. I have always been a lover of the hotel life and even though I have my own pad here, I have a few spots that I would love a little staycation at. The top one for me? Hotel Saint Cecilia. I've spent a lot of time having cocktails and hanging with friends in this place, so its fitting that I share it. If you are coming to visit Austin, I highly suggest you try and stay here. It's nestled right in the heart of the South Congress district, aka SoCo. 

Saint Cecilia is the saint of music & poetry, so naturally this place is where all the rock stars stay. It's got that very chic "almost famous" vibe in a modern way. I just love it. It's designed/owned by Liz Lambert, a hotel genius. She's done a great job creating the hippest hotels in this town.
