The days are starting to get shorter and I am so not ready for it. Last night I was sitting at my desk still working and the sky was dark out. I couldn't believe it was only around 7:30. What that means for me is that I work much later because the sun can no longer be my sign that its time to quit, its too early. I was up late last night putting together some inspiration boards for a new E-design client. One of my favorite ways to get to know a client's taste is by their pinterest page. It then hit me that as you make pin boards, certain color schemes usually will begin to form. It really can come from food, fashion, or interiors.

After some perusing, I was able to come up with a color palate that works so well for this couple's new home and it also made me fall in love with brown for the fall. Also, the mixing of brown and black is one of my favorite combos ever. I used to have a brown and black thin striped dress in high school, I used to get made fun of but I didn't care...I loved that dress! I have yet to mix brown and black in an interior and now I can't wait to do it.

This reminds me of the dress. Another mix I am ready to try is brown and grey. You've got to keep with a warm beige grey I'm thinking for ultimate richness.

Now I am really ready to create a board ripe for their brand new living room. I can't wait to pull together a look in this palate. Don't worry, I'll share what we come up with but for now enjoy some goodies in my current moodboard...
