Right now I am sort of obsessed with ming style tables. They are seen all over the glossy mags (photo above is in the living room with chic interior designer Lindsey Coral Harper's living room on Elle Decor). The ming style table comes from ancient Chinese furniture. Typically you will see this look in Chinoiserie decorated rooms or very eclectic glamorous rooms. They are a pretty classic table style and have been around for years. I always find that my favorite are in many of the most stylish New York City homes. I'm so into them right now. The cool thing about these tables is the detail, the most noticeable detail is in the curved feet.
Keep an eye out for these tables at your local thrift or antique shop. I stumble upon them all the time. Painted in a gorgeous lacquer color could give your living room a little spice. I think my favorite is high gloss black.
