I recently took my little boy on a two and a half week vacation to Europe. We met our cousins in Spain and then all went on an adventure exploring the South of France. It was truly the most magical experience.
Traveling around Europe with three kids under 6 and still trying to stay present and enjoy the experience yourself, requires some preparation. So, I put together a list of the things that made my Summer traveling so much more smooth and stress free.

01 | A water resistant crossbody bag
This has to be probably my favorite thing I brought for my trip. Especially as a mom and traveling around with three littles, you just never know what can happen.
I originally considered bringing my gorgeous and bright pink Chanel crossbody bag because who doesn’t want to feel chic in the South of France. Looking back, I am so glad I opted to for a roomier bag, with multiple pockets that won’t get ruined if it gets wet. This bag was such a lifesaver and made the entire travel experience comfortable and efficient because it fit everything we needed for our daily adventures.

02 | The most comfortable flip flops of all time
Everyone knows that when you are taking a trip to the South of France in the Summer, there will be lots and lots of walking. To properly prepare for said walking, you must bring comfortable shoes to last you for the trip.
I brought four different pairs of shoes on this trip and it was these wedge heel flip flops that were the absolute most comfortable shoe to wear. I wore them every single day and never had an issue.
I went with the neutral because they could work with every single outfit I wore but I also was wishing I had them in black to match a few of my bathing suits.
03 | Breathable and flowy Summery dresses
You know those type of dresses, the ones that flatter your body yet let your body breathe on a really, really extra hot Summer day. This is exactly the sort of dress you want to be in your suitcase when on a European Summer vacation.
I packed several different dresses for my trip but these two were the most breathable and flowy and were the ones I wore on repeat.
04 | The perfect Summer tassle sarong
When I tell you that this sarong absolutely made exploring towns and beaches all over the South of France incredibly effortless. You can use this piece as an adorable top, a sarong over your bathing suit or even a little something to layout on the sand while you get some sun.
When traveling, every piece needs to be multifunctional and compact. This sarong literally was my saving grace on this trip and now I want one in every single color.
05 | A really juicy Summery book to read
I don’t know what it is about a juicy book and reading it while on vacation that is just so satisfying. I wasn’t sure I would even have the time to read a book on our vacation but this book was so good, I couldn’t put it down.
People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry was that book for me. I give it a 10/10, you should absolutely read this if you love a romantic comedy.
