I'm getting that wanderlust bug this month. I mean, it's really something serious. This crazy weather is making my heart and eyes in a constant state of reverie. Thank goodness for discoveries like this super hip girl design group, Living Pink.
Madrid is probably one of my favorite cities that I have traveled to. There is something very New York about Madrid and I can't get enough of it. Especially the design. Shopping in el rastro, I found more incredible gems than I've ever come across in the states. There is a design sense that can't be described in words. This design firm is doing a pretty fantastic job at it. This home just screams feminine, glamour, vintage. . .basically living pink. And I am all about it.
The wall color here is so delicious. A greige of sorts. Reminds me of Revere Pewter.
Now this little bohemian chic nook is too fantastic. That retro wallpaper is so very cool and works perfectly with the pastel pillows and this cool leopard Zara Home rug that I have been coveting for a while.
The lighting in this place is impeccable ( they also have a lighting collection that I just adore ) and I love the uses of wallpaper throughout. Interesting objects fill the space which means conversation starters for days. That's what makes a space so cool and interesting. You've got to fill your home with one of a kind unique items that you love. It keeps your place from looking too much like a catalog. I always want my place to look like nothing else you have seen.
I absolutely love the bathroom. Such personality and character in the vintage lights, with unique colors for a bath. Light grey, mint green, dusty pink and gold. I'm in love.
To get the living pink look, you'll definitely want to start out with a big, beautiful peacock chair. It's boho and femme all in one. Then you want to fill a room up with some fun and unique wallpaper like this Peridot print from Serena & Lily. I would put a Tom Dixon light fixture anywhere. However, for a more affordable option, you'll definitely want to browse Chairish for some cool vintage light fixtures, like this brass one. For art, Sam Haskins has the best photographs, buy his book and cut out your fave photos and have them framed. Throw in a small gold cocktail table or two. The thing about the Living Pink look is that all furniture has unique shapes. Try a sofa like this beige beauty, curves for days. Obviously animal prints will work for this look, I'm vibing on this giraffe rug right now. The Ikea velvet pillows are a favorite of mine and totally affordable but no longer for sale. Get these pink ones. To keep things interesting, you've got to add the unique objects. It may be more realistic to start in small doses like this chic sea urchin box. Now, you've got a living pink pad all your own.
