Step One: Create a love vision board to put in the love corner bagua of your bedroom.

I swear by vision board parties for manifesting any particular goal. So I hosted a girls love vision board party and encouraged the girls to bring frames for their so that they can place their frame in the love corner of their bedrooms.

Step Two: learn the bagua, the feng shui map of the home

Now, you'll want to locate the love corner of your bedroom. I like to tell my clients that in order to intentionally manifest love, its best to Feng Shui their personal bedroom instead of the entire home because its such an intimate and personal space. You can be really intentional in your bedroom. 

So you will see that the love and marriage corner of your bedroom will be the far right corner from the wall that the door/entryway to the room sits on. In this corner you'll want to enhance to send intentional energy to this area of your life. It's really all about intention here. Where attention goes, energy flows. So allow yourself to have fun with this. 

9 Feng Shui Secrets to Manifest and Attract More Love to Your Home:

What you need to know: Feng Shui focuses on energy flow. A well-aligned bedroom layout nurtures peace and well-being. Each element matters, from the bed’s position to the decluttering of space, every detail contributes to the bedroom’s harmonious energy. 

1. Position the bed properly.

Your bedroom sets the stage for romance, so it's essential to create a space that feels balanced and inviting. Start by positioning your bed in the "command position”. By placing your bed in a commanding position, you effectively command your space, ensuring that you face the door from the comfort of your bed without being in direct alignment with it.

This strategic placement does more than just offer a sense of security; it harnesses and directs beneficial chi towards you while you rest. Use soft, luxurious bedding and incorporate elements of symmetry and pairs to symbolize partnership.

Hot tip: Also make sure that you sleep on the feminine side of the bed.

2. Bring in some loving colors and symbols.

Pink and red are always symbolic for love, compassion, romance, etc. I like to make sure to keep fresh pink roses in this corner. Fresh flowers always enhance the energy of a space. They also reduce stress and anxiety and enhance compassionate feelings. Flowers, especially roses and peonies bring in the energy of love and romance.

3. Balance the energy.

Feng Shui emphasizes the importance of balancing the five elements—wood, fire, earth, metal, and water—in your environment to create harmony and equilibrium. Incorporate these elements thoughtfully throughout your space, paying attention to their representation and placement. For example, you can introduce the fire element with candles or the earth element with potted plants to create a nurturing and supportive atmosphere for love to flourish.

4. Hang supporting artwork and imagery.

Love should be reflected in the artwork in your bedroom. So, take those pictures of you by yourself (or you with a child and/or family members) and move them out of your bedroom to another room. In their place, put up art or photos of twosomes or lovers as a way to attract that same energy.

Here are some examples of good Feng Shui for love artwork: 

• Images with pairs of birds, swans, doves.

• Images showing flowers or something in bloom

• Artwork showing lovers or a romantic scene

5. Decorate in pairs.

If you look around your home and see lots of single items, chances are the relationship energy is off. Decorate with pairs of things. A pair of red candles in the love corner, a pair of matching chairs, pairs of soft, pretty pillows, etc. I also encourage you to hang up artwork that shows pairs, couples in love, artwork that symbolizes love and romance, not negative, draining or single energy. 

6. Keep bedsides balanced.

Bedside style is everything. You want to make sure that on either side of your bed is equal energy. Matching nightstands, lamps and artwork, keeps the energy balanced between both partners. If you are looking to attract a partner, leave an empty drawer on the opposite side of you to call in the one. 

Even if/when nightstands aren't matching. Just do your best to make them even, so one partner doesn't have more energy than the other. You also want to make sure the nightstands are clean and organized, here are some tips to help ensure your nightstands have good energy.

7. Make room for your mate.

As women, we tend to have more things and dominate the closets, drawers, etc. It's always important for us to keep our sides clean and clutter free as best we can. Especially if you are trying to attract a mate, leave some room in your closet for your potential mate. Not that they would move in, its the intention behind the energy. 

Declutter your bedroom of laundry, past momentos from former lovers and any knick knacks that don’t support a love vibe. Even if something is hidden it still represents energy. So keep the space under the bed clear of any clutter too. That goes for your bedroom closets also. With feng shui, nothing is really hidden. If you wouldn’t display it, then don’t have it hidden. The energy is the same.

8. Make a treasure map for love aka a love vision board.

I once read the book, The Soul Mate Secret by Arielle Ford and the author talks about making ‘treasure maps’ as a way to call in a specific love. This part is all about the law of attraction. You want to create a vision board, a painting, a visual representation of the love that you desire to place in your love and marriage corner. This is why I had my girls frame their love maps. To set intention and have glam decoration for their love corner. This way, you can look at this everyday and be reminded of the love that you truly desire. 

9. Use Crystals.

Crystals are powerful tools for amplifying energy and intention, making them ideal for manifesting love and romance. Place crystals associated with love and healing, such as rose quartz, rhodochrosite, or pink tourmaline, in the Relationship area of your home or bedroom. These crystals can help open your heart chakra, attract love, and release emotional blockages that may be hindering your ability to connect with others.

If you are in a relationship, bring home flowers for your loved one. Light candles, play music, make being a home special. You can do this if you are single, too and don't forget to make your love vision board. Intentionally creating a home of harmony is the best thing you can do for everyone, including yourself.

How to create an inspiring work space: Carrie Bradshaw style

This has been a pretty exciting summer so far. Aside from taking off for the Amalfi coast in one week (hello, dream trip!), I also was asked to be a guest designer over at one of my favorite vintage shops in the Dallas design district. Scout Design Studio is amazing. I want everything in that place. So you can imagine how I jumped at the opportunity to create a guest vignette. 

It's things like this that I live for! To just dream up a space, with full pick of whatever I want to make an experience come alive, I literally get high off of the whole thing. This is how I know I am meant to do what I do. Ahhhh! I love it. I am a girl who believes in manifesting and putting things out in the universe, so my inspiration for the space was a modern day office/studio a la Carrie Bradshaw's apartment in Sex and the City. 

I want a workspace that is bright, happy, feminine, fun and uber inspiring! This vibe is exactly what I need in my life right now. I let them know ahead of time what color I wanted and sent them this photo. They went with Electric Blue by Benjamin Moore. 

I knew before coming in that I wanted to create my dream entrepreneuress work space. A space that reflects my personality, is very glam and also makes me feel like I am near the ocean. The walls are totally ocean blue. Then they let me pick out whatever I wanted, gave me an assistant and I began creating. I felt like I was on a dream episode of Supermarket sweep. 

I started off my room with this gorgeous Cinderella's carriage style chandelier, it was hiding in the back of the showroom so no one could see her. It was her time to shine. After going around the whole store about 10 times, I nailed down my final favorites. Here is how it turned out. . .

If I could buy this whole room, I would. And transport it to where I am now. :) I am now obsessed with this desk, its actually lavender lacquer and lucite. Stunning. It's sitting on the most gorgeous lavender overdyed rug. These two things might be my favorite items in the space. I paired a lovely antique chair because I like the juxtaposition of old and new. That tall brass floor lamp looking thing is actually a magnifying glass. How cool is that? Of course a dream office needs one. 

The art wall was fun to put together and was inspired by Carrie's wall behind her bed. The Brigitte Bardot poster was the main piece. The rest just worked. The art wall is flanked by two decadent crystal sconces and guarded by mr. greyhound. 

The sunburst mirror is made up on brass cobra snake door handles assembled around an antique mirror. A custom installation to dream for. It's styled up with a cobalt blue velvet bench with lucite legs and custom black and white striped pillows. 

What office isn't complete with bookcases and storage? I placed these two navy laqcuer bamboo cases and filled them with books, cocktail accoutrements, a zebra and some accessories + art. Atop each case is a Fornasetti style face place. LOVE! I also really wanted to take home the two aqua silk tufted swivel chairs with chartreuse velvet pillows and that gorgeous female bust. She's so art deco and glam. 

Unsightly doors for storage are made perfection by brass Asian style hardware. Totally glams it up, no?

I can't get over the lavender desk. I want! This chair works perfectly next to it and a total bargain. Get and frame your own Brigitte Bardot poster here + add some assorted pieces with it.  I love a good sunburst mirror, this one is perfect. A blue velvet bench with gold is so glam. This lavender overdyed rug is the perfect backdrop. This navy bookcase is so pretty, get two and create a faux built in. You can throw in a Fornasetti plate on the wall too! A set of these tufted blue chairs will go nicely. This gold sphere chandelier makes it all come together, so glamorously.
