Entertaining: getting your patio prepped & pretty

After yesterdays post on the gorgeousness of decorating in all blue, I was inspired to create a little board for some patio decor ideas. My balcony is pretty small so I want to fill it with things that will make it simple and cozy. Here are a few pretty patio basics that will spruce up your outdoor space. . .

For those of you like me, who are starting to really worry about blocking your face from the damaging effects of the sun, umbrellas are essential. OKL has some really pretty ones like this blue one with a scalloped edge. 

Capri Blue candles are literally sold out everywhere and all the time. Snag some Volcano candles for your indoor and outdoor space, its such a good scent for Spring. 

How cute is this little HOLA sculpture?

Blue and white stripes on this outdoor pillow keeps it tailored and modern looking. Throw in this shabori pillow for a touch of bohemian. It's such a pretty little mix. 

Who else is obsessed with peacock chairs? I have an entire pinterest board dedicated to my love. I found this white one for a great price! It would make any patio much more pretty.  

This is the chicest outdoor rug I have seen in a while. 

A little garden stool is always great for extra seating, placing drinks or as a plant stand.

Don't forget to add some greenery. I love ferns on a patio, especially in these pretty marble planters. 

Spring fling: accessories for at home entertaining

I've been working so much on helping my clients get prepared for Spring gatherings. Getting together and eating at the table is such a beautiful way to strengthen and nurture your most cherished relationships. It's also a way to enhance new, budding friendships too. My grandmother always showed us the importance of setting a proper table. When we were younger, if we got in trouble, our punishment was to set the table for the next meal. Whether breakfast, lunch or dinner, a properly set table was something we always looked forward to. It felt like such a chore at that time but now as adults, we all look back and try to emulate that in our own lives. 

So shopping for your tabletop decor should be a beautiful experience. I love to find beautiful accessories to place on my tabletop. Right now, I am in love with everything Anthropologie is putting out. Especially for the Spring, its a great place to find the pretty pastel colors, beautiful floral prints and well handmade items.
