I have been obsessed with large closets and chic little vanity desks in them. I came across this stunning closet by Alice Lane Home. I could totally imagine working in a glam little closet like this. One thing I have realized about working from home, is that you want to create a beautiful space that nurtures your creativity. I love the way fashion can do that for you. . .

The thing about where you work when working from home is that you want a space that is uniquely you. Being surrounded by the things you love and that make you feel good about yourself. The thing to remember is that its important to take time for you. . .

When you have things organized and displayed beautifully, your mind can be at ease and free to create new ideas. If you're not having to sort through a closet or home filled with clutter and mess, you'll have time to sit and read a magazine or look through a new book and be inspired for your day. I typically like to begin my day with my coffee and filling myself up with new inspiration. Then I get to work. . .

I'm pretty much in love with everything about this closet, especially the lighting and painted ceiling. Those are details you should NOT leave out. 

Things to always keep in your home work space: beautiful photos of people that you love, patterns and colors that make you happy, your favorite flowers, a deliciously scented candle, beautiful pens and a notebook ready for you to jot down ideas in.

Entrepreneuress 101: the magic of your throne

I am a total chair girl. I could collect chairs like they are shoes. There is something so magical about them and I really don't know what it is, but its palpable to me. As a little girl, chairs were everything. I remember rocking my little cousins to sleep ( I always loved babies ) on grandmas rocking chair, I would get so excited to do it. Family dinners were my favorite memories and they were spent in beautiful chairs with high backs and damask fabric. I always loved the feeling of getting to sit in those gorgeous chairs. When I became an adult, the only thing I begged my grandmother for, was the set of bamboo chairs we grew up sitting in. I mean, I am obsessed. 

Which leads me to talk to you today about chairs. I'm currently on the hunt for a clients office area and I am fixated on finding the perfect chair. The chair, aka the throne, where you place your bum all day needs to be magical. It needs to make you excited to sit in it. Who wants to sit in a boring or uncomfortable chair all day? It enhances your space while you work and gives you an extra dose of confidence and let me tell you, the bigger the chair, the better. 

Whether you are working from home, writing thank you notes or your to do list, you want to feel fabulous and confident doing it. The perfect throne will enhance your daily work experience and make it feel special. If you want an inspiration or boost of work confidence, invest in a new throne and see what happens. . .
