Inspiring Interiors: A beautiful black and blush bedroom crush

Hoping you all had a beautiful Valentine's Day! After discussing with you yesterday my tips for decorating for love and romance, I came across a beautiful example of just how its done. This bedroom refresh by Crush Interiors, originally posted on Rue. Obviously I love black so this room just called out to me. 

Artwork of blossoming flowers, matching nightstands and sconces, its completely set up for a sweet little romance. It's super sweet and styled with such personality. 

Typically, in my interiors, especially when the walls are dark, I like to match the color drapes with the walls. It makes the room just feel bigger and keeps a soft contrast in texture. I love when its done well and here, the Crush girls did it so well. 

The thing I absolutely LOVE about black walls is that the television just melts away. It's not sure a sore sight, so you have to appreciate that.

SIDE NOTE: This room is a little bit of a mix of styles, which is fun. I like mixing and I especially love to encourage mixing different looks in your own space. Right now, I am obsessed with shopping online at GILT home. I always need great online sources with affordable options for my virtual design clients. Gilt is one of my favorites. Interior Inspiration: my favorite interiors this week

It's so interesting how things change as time goes on. I am always following my bliss and so I prioritize activities that delight me. For me, going to the bookstore to peruse the latest interior magazines used to be one of my favorite things to do on a Sunday afternoon. These days, I can spend hours on Instagram, checking out the interiors of the world. 

I take it very seriously actually. I am able to use images to illustrate to clients exactly what I am thinking. It's so nice to have a visual representation of what I am thinking. Instagram has changed the game for us as designers. So I want to start a weekly round up of my favorite finds on Instagram according to interior style. 

The top image is from @andeelayne and I am in love with the vibe. The soft grey walls are such a beautiful backdrop for the black accents. I also love how the bright pink in the flowers just pops so well. 

@sumhouse_sumwear | I am so in love with beaded chandeliers right now. They make such a gorgeous statement. I also love the pops of black against the soft grey walls. It's such a serene vibe and the sunlight is just pouring in. So blissful. 

@mydomaine | This dining room is a little modern, a little boho yet still glam. I think this look is so fun. 

@cocollected | Ah, this look is so good. When you can display smart collections in a fun way, it gives so much personality to a space. I also love way small stacks of books give movement and magic. 

@emdesigninc | This space has such great styling. That marble fireplace focal wall is absolutely incredible. 

@theaestate | This bathtub is filled with beautiful greenery. You can't go wrong with mother natures magical touches to the home. This is probably really invigorating because of the natural elements. 

@danielmonsa | Oh the beauty of black and white. I love white chairs with black trim against the marble table. It looks modern and clean.
