I’m always looking for ways to create a more balanced and harmonized home because I know just how important it is for me to have a home that feels really good, hello feng shui. In an effort to create a cozy yet luxurious feeling bedroom, I used a symmetrical art wall to complete the look.

I find symmetrical art walls to be one of the easiest yet sophisticated decorating moves to make.

Versus when you have an asymmetrical gallery wall, it looks more eclectic and mixed art themes looks great. When doing a symmetrical gallery wall, it's more impactful with a specific and cohesive theme.

• Choosing the right sized frames. Determine if you would like to have large or small matting and what size photos you will want to display. Determine whether landscape, portrait or a square photo works best for the size of your wall. Selecting the art beforehand makes things much less stressful.

  Hot tip: If you are filling a vertical empty space, portrait photos will look best. If you are looking to fill a horizontal empty space on a wall, you may want to opt for large square or landscape sized frames and photos.

• Determine what finish looks best for your room. I like my frames to look impactful. Consider the wall color, furniture finishes, textures and elements you may want to add. A natural wood frame looks beautiful in a softer space while a metal frame might work best in a more modern space.
