It used to be that I would spend hours at the local bookstore tearing through magazines. My latest inspiration obsession?  @Baremalin's instagram. The stylish little Swedish decorator transformed her apartment into a beautiful style studio. I admire her choices in color, using pinks, greys and greens. This femme little decorator is able to keep a minimalistic look yet from a maximalists method of style. I am so inspired by her ever changing look, uses of greenery and florals. It is totally reminiscent of the covers of Living Etc magazines. Let her feed inspire you. . .

Weekend decorating idea: decorating with cherry blossoms

One of my favorite things to do in New York in the Spring is the Cherry blossom festival at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. It's literally such a fun experience to picnic underneath the massive cherry blossom trees. Ever since that day, I have always loved using cherry blossoms as a wild accessory to spruce up my clients homes. 

Today, I want to encourage you, with a little bit of inspiration, to go grab some bundles of cherry blossoms for your home. Using them to give height to any vignette will add instant style. 

This set of two vases with cherry blossoms brings such impact to the fireplace of one of my favorite clients NYC apartment. This creates a dramatic focal point to a small space. 

I fell so in love with this photo of the gorgeous cherry blossoms against a dark black wall. Swoon. 

Fill an empty corner with some cherry blossoms for an interesting moment and a dash of color.
