The ISTA: May Amazon favorites

It's been a minute since I have published an issue of ISTA Magazine but I have been feeling the call for a while now. So as to not forget my passion project, I want to reconnect us to our inner fabulous self, our ISTA. So, I'll be curating the things that are current essentials for the intuitive bombshell. 

If I haven't told you this before, I am Amazon obsessed. Yes, I am a prime member and I also subscribe to Kindle unlimited. I'm even thinking of signing up for Audible unlimited. I even had my baby registry on Amazon, what doesn't Amazon do? In the spirit of my love, I'll be sharing the top 5 things in my cart every month. So, here we go. . .

1. I've been doing everything I can to take good care of my face. I feel like pregnancy came with a glow but it also came with some wrinkles. Perhaps because I just don't get the sleep I am used to. So, face rollers are all the rage and I love the rose quartz one. Put it in the freezer or fridge so it cools before you use it and it feels fantastic! 

2. Right now, the moon is moving into Virgo and so organization and planning energy is at an all time high. I am obsessed with planners as I am sure you know. I have several. I have just found this beautiful baby pink Filofax that I think would be a great storage planner, to keep old papers, notes and files. It's so so pretty. 

3. I put one of these money trees into a clients home and she let me know that money started flowing in almost immediately. I love Feng Shui and decorating is all about intention. These sweet little trees have crystals and copper wire that you get to stretch out and give your vibes to. It is a total creative expression and intentional abundance cure all in one. I want this pretty pink one! 

4. Clear beauty organizers are always in style. I found this smoky one that I really like and I think it's kind of 70's chic. A twist on the typical boring clear one you see everywhere. I actually think I want one for all my markers, pens and office supplies. 

5. Now that I am as hot as a furnace and the weather outside is irritatingly hot in Austin, I need a light robe and I have got my eye on this one. Amazon has surprisingly great fashion buys. My baby shower dress I found on Amazon and everyone asked me where I got it. Plus, things typically come in a variety of colors so its easy to shop for exactly what you want. 

Decorate Your Home for Taurus Season

I’m super excited to write about decorating for Taurus season since I was born under the sign of the bull! We're leaving the fiery energy of Aries behind and transitioning to a more stable and grounded energy since Taurus is the first earth sign of the zodiac. The first thing that comes to mind when you think of a bull may not be pleasant but all a Taurus really wants is to experience pleasure in all forms and the first place you should start exercising daily bliss is at home.

Taurus Season Tip #1: Bring on the Romance

Taurus (and Libra) is ruled by love and beauty planet Venus so love and romance are top priorities for bulls. If you're single and wanting to call a partner into your life you can help do so by changing things up a bit in your home - make sure things come in twos (nightstands, bedside lamps, bathroom towels) as this is a way to tell the universe you're making space for a partner. You can also add rose quartz (a crystal excellent for healing issues around love and inviting love into your life) to your nightstand or even sleep with one placed under your pillow.

Taurus Season Tip #2: Seek Pleasure

Taurus is the zodiac sign that moves through life relying heavily on the 5 senses and with the strong Venus influence, people born under the sign of the bull are natural pleasure seekers. Taureans are all about quality so a great way to incorporate their love for the finer things in life is by making small changes to the accessories in your home. Invest in high thread count sheets, splurge on a fancy candle, purchase a cashmere throw for your sofa or look into a towel warmer for your bathroom. The little things can make a BIG difference in your everyday life.

Taurus Season Tip #3: Call in Prosperity

Taurus rules the second house in astrology which is connected to money, material items and what we value. Although Taureans appreciate and love luxury, they can also be very frugal and conservative when it comes to spending money. You can bring more prosperity into your life by using principles of Feng Shui in your home. Call in more prosperity by using the color purple (paint a focal wall), green (even through the use of plants) or gold. You can also purchase a Citrine crystal for wealth and make sure to keep your home clutter free!

Taurus Season Tip #4: Ground Your Space

As the first earth sign of the zodiac, most Taureans are down to earth and need to feel grounded. One way they do this is by connecting with nature so a great way to keep yourself grounded is by bringing the outside in. You can do this by incorporating wood into your decor (a coffee or dining table would be great), getting a nice but subtle indoor fountain (this can also help with your prosperity!) or by simply purchasing a comfortable rug that feels good in between your toes since going barefoot in nature is an instant way to ground yourself.

Taurus Season Tip #5: Create a Routine

Taureans are creatures of habit and aren't too fond of change (unless another planetary position in their natal chart states otherwise). Bulls thrive on routine and we all can benefit from having a daily routine or rituals to help keep our lives on track. This can be as simple as incorporating a 10-minute mediation practice into your morning beauty routine or taking time to sit and enjoy breakfast in silence before you brace the busy outside world. Do as a Taurus would and stick to whatever makes you feel good!
