3 ideas for the end of your bed

Have you ever been one of those who thinks of what to put at the end of the bed? I often hear the complaint of not knowing how to properly fill a very large bedroom. Do you ever notice how in the most elegant of hotels, they always have something sitting at the end of the bed? A lot of times you will see a small sofa, a bench or some sort of seating situation. Right now I am all about surfaces at the end of a bed. Today, I am sharing 3 ideas for chic tabletop inspirations for the end of your bed...

1. A desk at the end of the bed. If you have room, a desk at the end of a bed is such a cool idea. This is especially cool in a guest bedroom as it provides an extra place to work for you or your guest. Your guests will think you have such a unique sense of style and you've just got to love that. 

2. A dresser. I would have never thought of this idea until seeing this picture. However, I sort of love it. It adds depth and dimension to the view of the bed from the door and then room on the wall for a gorgeous art wall or something. If you have space for this, try switching up your furniture like this and see what happens. 

3. A low console table. This is uber glam and just kind of makes your bedroom more sophisticated and chic. You could put some extra poufs underneath and stacks of pretty books on top.

1. One of my e-decorating clients decided to be bold and let me talk her into painting her bedroom walls black. After she finished painting her exact words were "when we went to bed, my husband & I felt like we were in a romantic 5 star hotel. The next morning, I woke up feeling happy, grateful, creative and even skinnier. Thanks Ashlina, you are a genius!" - Got to love that. I love this room Cara! P.S. we used Farrow and ball "off-black", same as in my bedroom.

2. Was indulging in some bubbly and looked up to notice the most lovely arrangement of cherry blossoms snuggled up against hanging edison bulbs. It was the perfect contrast of masculine and feminine. Loved it. 

3. I was pretty smitten with these black and gold lamps I found while antiquing. Love the rams head accents. 

4. Not that I need more lighting in my bedroom, but they would look so fab on my desk. All the black and gold. Also obsessed with my new archipelago candle. It's tuberose + gardenia mixed and makes the most wonderful smell. My planner is so chic, no?

5. I've always loved the decor trick to stack books under a stylish bench. It keeps things looking pulled together and organized. Also, I am desperately wanting this JA bench + pillows. 

6. How chic is my nail salon set up? I love the all white, black trim, mirrored column + glam chandelier vibe going on. 

7. I am still so beyond humbled + excited by my feature on Home on the Runway. Have you checked it out yet? I love the magazines whole vibe. 

8. I am having the wanderlust itch and dying to get over to the glamour that is UAE. I would love to walk around this white and gold gorgeousness.
