Killer color combo : Lavender & Slate

Right now I am totally vibing on all things slate. My new wallet is like this gunmetal grey and I am digging this in all aspects. The other day I had my nails painted a shade of lavender and I fell hard for the duo. It looked especially chic in this bohemian bedroom I found. Now, I am all about pulling together this dynamic color combination. 

I love this gorgeous Stark Rug in slate.  Throw in a Moroccan pillow with diamonds to glam it up a bit. Pair that with a velvet slate grey pillow, for more cushy-ness. A blown glass vase sets the stage for an arrangement of beautiful blooms to give serenity. The chevron slate grey lamp makes a sweet little boho addition. An ameythst on lucite stone sculpture brings a soft earth element to the bedroom. Upgrade your bedside table with these glam agate drawer pulls. A french lavender body oil should sit on the bedside table to help you drift off to your dreams. A dark grey slate cashmere throw will keep you warm on the cool nights. In the perfect bedroom, a tufted chair like this sits in the corner for meditating and relaxing. It's always important to have a comfortable yet beautiful robe to wear when relaxing in the bedroom. Especially on your gorgeous Eqyptian cotton sheets.

Design Inspiration: Working with whites

I can't stop feeling inspired by really good white interiors. Just layers and layers of white. White walls. White-ish sofas. White pillows. White floors. White lamps and tables. White chairs. All of it. It just feels so good and fresh to me right now. 

I loved this living room + bedroom combo, Kerri Rosenthal's home looks so good in Lonny. 

You can add just a simple pop of color for some major impact or you can go with beiges and natural elements like wood for some warmth. Either way it looks so good. 

For me personally, I'd probably go with some black for the glam factor. 

I love a modern white dresser in even the most casual of rooms.  This kind of white chair is pretty and durable which is always a plus. White bookcases will always be all the rage. I think pedestal tables are bomb for showcasing busts and sculptures. White mirrors looks so good on a glossy white wall.  I love a unique modern dining table feel. I think a white moroccan pouf always works well. How chic is a femme bust with a partial silver face? Love it. The Dora Maar white vase is pretty bomb too. White marble grapes are such a chic coffee table topper. A white box with a gorgeous stone always steps up the glam.
