secret of domestic bliss #4...hint of animal print

My art teachers used to say "if it's missing something, add a touch of red".
It worked every single time, my work would be even better if I added a bit of the passionate color. It just did something for it and made me fall in love with my creation.
I believe that goes the same for design but if a room or your home is missing something...
I say "add a hint of animal print". Works everytime!
There are plenty of varieties but for an extremely opulent look, you can never go wrong with leopard. All it takes is one small bit and your place will be instantly transformed.

i even think it works with fashion too!

don't you agree?

my heart is currently in San Francisco

Currently I am fantasizing about owning a Slim Aarons photo.
I love his work.
His poolside series in fantastic!
As I was googling his stuff, I came across an interior design firm called Palmer Weiss.
The firm is located in the lovely city of San Francisco.
When I laid eyes on this photo, I fell in love with it because this is one of my favorite
photos from Slim's collection. I would die to have it.
I would die for my gallery to show his work.
Anyway, how fantastic is the design by Palmer Weiss? Pretty fresh I'd say.

Oh yes. Imperial Trellis!

While I was reading my blogs of the day, I came across this fantastic picture over
at Elements of Style blog. My jaw dropped as I discovered that this fabulous wall isn't wallpaper. Oh no, not wallpaper, it's a DIY project that came out looking like the spitting
image of an extremely expensive wallpapered room.
Hello Gorgeous blog gives all the details on how to achieve this amazing look.

Breathtaking, huh?

so happy to be home...

...and this is just what I am going to do!
I have not even been home for 24 hours and things are super hectic.
I have missed my blogs sooo much and my favorite blogging ladies.
NYC was amazing, such a fantastic trip shopping, experiencing the city + spending time with
friends and family. I am so excited to be home and want to thank you all for the well
wishes. All I can think about right now is my bed. Can anyone feel me?

wouldn't mind a nice bubble bath either...

office space of the day...and more

This morning I decided that I love everything about
I love the way she adds hues of blue to her spaces.
There is something so calming about her style and I really find it
impressive that she uses such wild and fun patterns in
extremely traditional spaces.
fantastic desk + hints of blue = love

living in NYC...life of an actress

I seriously fantasize about what it would be like to live in new york.
I visit often and I try to pretend that I am a local,
but that doesn't work...i still have that "traveling high".

The Selby is one of my favorite websites for that.
Sneak peaks into the homes and offices of manhattans best.
After doing my NYC research, I found this crazy apartment.
Ingrid Sophie Schram is the owner of this teeny space in NYC.

I would die to have a brunch on a patio like this NY patio...wouldn't you?

swoon worthy things for the home

It is taking all of me to not want to shop today, but I must wait to shop in NYC.
Sometimes I just get in the mood to buy things for my home, especially when I see
beautiful images that inspire me. It's very rare for me to not have something new in my mind that would be perfect for my home...or my wardrobe.
Today I want to share some things that I wish I could run out and buy right now!
I'm probably dreaming a little bit, but its still fun.
