Wanderlusting: Inside a charming rustic Indian farmhouse

It's around this time of year where I begin to long for a getaway. To escape to a peaceful and warm climate. Just for some time out to get quiet and reflect before all that comes with a new year. Lately, I have been drawn to all things India. After studying Ayurvedic philosophy for years, I've just always been entranced with Indian spirit. When I came across this charming Indian farmhouse in the newest issue of Elle Decor, I knew just what sort of vibe my next trip will be. 

This is the country home of the Kasliwal family — owners of the legendary Indian jewelry house, Munnu the Gem Palace — in a converted cowshed on the outskirts of Jaipur.

'Kasliwal, whose daily life has him surrounded by some of the world’s most valuable jewels, tells Elle Decor how nothing is more precious to him than getting away to the small, spare farmhouse outside of Jaipur that his late father Munnu renovated and decorated. How to decorate your home to reflect your authentic style

This post is about how you can start decorating your home more intentionally.

The more I learn about staying in a high frequency and using "personal bliss" as a life GPS system, I turn to my home to support that state of mind. I've been using Feng Shui for a while now and really have been feeling the benefits of intentionally decorating.

Decorating according to my bliss and what feels really good to me. I am unavailable for decorating my home to "look like a magazine spread" any longer. I decorate for me. 

I encourage you to do the same. Clearing out your home of trends, clothes that don't fit well, colors that don't flatter or energize you, things that feel heavy or outdated and doing so without the guilt attached to it. Let it go. 

I've noticed more now than ever, just how important decorating with spiritual accents means to me, how fun it is to dress up the home with crystals and agates. Seeing the effects that fresh new bedding has on my skin and overall sleep habits.

The importance of fresh flowers, candles and images to keep up the daily bliss factor. You see, its all about keeping in your state of bliss. Lately I have been using the mantra BLISS VIBES ONLY as my word or motto. 

Perhaps its time to push back the curtains, paint a fresh coat of paint in your absolute favorite color and get rid of all the "things" taking up space in your home. See how it feels to do this. It might be just the push you need to redecorating with authentic energy.
