another year older....

and another year wiser.......hopefully.

The party last night was awesome. Such a hit!
We had a mexican themed fiesta...complete with Mexican Bingo, and if you have never played this game, you must. It rocks.

And this morning my awesome boyfriend surprised me with this adorable gift!

Thinking of the end of my day. My keys are ridiculous, I have tons of them on a lonely little keychain. I am always scrambling to find the keys for my different places, office, home, mailbox, garage key, etc. 
I think I have found exactly what I need!

If I could, I think I would cover an entire guest home in her wall coverings + fabrics.
I love love love anything floral...flowers make me happy.

peoples choice awards tonight: los angeles

I seriously have the coolest job in the world.
My boss just gave us tickets to the People's Choice Awards for tonight hosted by Queen Latifah.
If Robert Pattinson shows up I think I might end up being that psycho stalker who runs across the red carpet screaming his name...just kidding.

Now I'm driving myself crazy trying to figure out what to wear.
ahhhhhh!

The Art of Living...dressing a dresser

I have recently been working on a project for my new bedroom makeover.
I got a freebie dresser that I decided to give a new fresh look.

However, I am having a dilemma finding just the perfect items on the top.
I want it to look luxe and feminine at the same time.
I need some inspiration quickly.
I have found a few images online that have captured my interest.
Wondering which of these styles I like best...hmmm?

Do it yourself: framed wallpaper panels

Last night while looking through all my magazines, I came across an old Better Homes and Gardens Do it Yourself Issue. I was happily surprised to find this dining room!
The home owner is Hollis Erickson of Roberts Erickson Design. 
While looking at House of Turqouise blog (one of my favorites) this morning, I recognized her bedroom and hence found Hollis's blog. I was so happy to find these images online! yay!

my birthday wishlist.

I absolutely love making birthday wishlists.
It might be partly because of my obsession with making lists of any kind, and this one happens to be really magical + dreamy.
Turning another year older reminds me of the things that I really want to accomplish in the new year. There are so many things I wanted to do before I turn 30. This Friday, my 29th birthday means that I have to really get down to business and make those dreams happen. Sigh!

Till then, here are a few things that would make my year much much brighter!

A romantic trip to Italy with my lovebird...
and a new kate spade passport holder to accompany me on my many travels.


Lots and lots of candles for my home, I truly can never get enough...I love tuberose and gardenia.

What's new..?

In light of my recent post on 2010 decor trends,
I have been on the hunt for all that is gray + yellow.
Sure enough, West Elm is right on point...the NEW collection spans from anything yellow to everything gray. Here are some simple buys that I would make to 
keep my place hot, fresh + 2010.

Combine the gray striped sheets (below) with the yellow quilt (above) for some hotness.

throw in a zebra or damask rug to mix it up
nothing says luxury better than bone trinket boxes for the desk space
and why not throw in a bird cage for a tounge-in-cheeck element
There you go...just a few fresh additions to spruce up your pad for 2010.

in need of inspiration!

I have a few projects this January.
My sister just turned 30, got a job promotion is looking for a condo + the man of her dreams. She wants a grown up apartment and she has hired me as her decorator.
Exciting...? YES!
but...I have a blank slate and I need some ideas.
I am loving all the inspiration I can get right now...

Z is for Zebra

Each new year I find so exciting...
because it means my birthday is right around the corner, 8 days to be exact!
While looking around + searching for the perfect new handbag
 to start the 29th year of my life off right, 
I found an amazing  zebra skin handbag at Coach
I guess its going to be all the rage this year, along with the color gray.


It looks beautiful.

It also brought me to searching interiors for the delicious zebra pattern.
There is something so hip about zebra, 
I don't know what it is...but I am loving it.

If I am ever fortunate enough to buy a house with stairs, I am sooo doing this!
