needing. wanting. loving. A seriously cool TV console

Okay, so sometimes I go a little crazy for things that are bold, bright and beautiful. Like this fabulously chic  entertainment console. I spotted the beauty at Kyle's blog from this fabulousness etsy shop. It made me seriously consider great ways to decorate around ugly tv's. This is definitely one way to do it well!

Actually reminds me of my favorite piece from the Woodson and Rummerfield Chasens collection.
I am absolutely bonkers for the thing.
 another tv displays I am crazy for...so chic.

The Art of Living...giving in to masculine

I am seriously optimistic about masculine elements in a beautiful room. I have been in love with the look of worn leather these days. Something very sentimental happens when you add an element of anything worn and worn leather just screams masculine chic to me. Ladies, never be afraid of the look, the boys definitely dig it and if you open yourself to it...it just might rock your world.

It doesn't need to be a big ugly sofa, but a touch in the form of a chair or ottoman can completely do the trick!

Decor Affections for the 70's

Yesterday for Mothers Day, I told you guys a bit about my fond affections for the 70's. So, as you can imagine, when I spotted these photos from House Beautiful 1971 I went ballistic. How curiously similar are the decor styles in these photos compared to what's in right now...2011? It's insanely good. I love how styles in fashion and in home come back around again.

Bliss in the kitch' {stylish shelving situations}

Feeling fabulously convinced that proper storage in a kitchen is more than necessary. I love how this black wall of shelving sits perfectly next to a bright and white little kitch'. Complete with an island, industrial lighting and a very hip ladder, this kitchen space is more than meets the eye. While there is plenty of space for chopping and mixing, the space for all your storage needs is more than swoonworthy. My heart melts for really, really good shelving and storage.

secret of domestic bliss #48...use wallpaper creatively

Not everyone is a fan of wallpaper but most of you know this particular decorista LOVES her some wallpaper. What I love is when people use wallpaper in super creative ways to make dramatic statements in their home. I was a smitten kitten the moment I saw this foyer. How incredibly stylish is that? Always be brave and use fabulous pattern in not-so-fabulous spaces. It will give your home that extra something special...

bathroom bliss...the loveliest bathroom moments

So everything about this bathroom right now is killing me softly. The wallpaper is black and white perfection, I am so into it. I love how not all walls are covered, super good idea for less drama. Oh, and the monograms always speak sweetly to my heart, I love them. Oh, how I am adoring delicious bathrooms right now...

How incredible is that Mary Macdonald bathroom? She just gets me every single time. The bathtub is so dreamy! I can't wait to watch her on Bravo Million Dollar Decorators.

Wallcolor Wednesday...working with white

As I am still on the hunt for the perfect place to live in NYC, I keep running into to the realization that so many people here have to rent. The biggest downside to renting is the possibility that you are stuck working with white walls. Don't fret my pets, there is always a way around white walls and surprisingly you can still have a very chic space. Here, I will share with you my room inspirations with white walls. I must say, I am rather quickly falling for the charm.

moments of domestic bliss with Red

I don't know why I am feeling this way but ever since I saw prince william in that red military jacket I have been smitten with the color red. I have always adored red so its nothing new to me, but lately I have been spotted bits of red here and there and it always adds such a delicious little touch. This gorgeous red window treatment just has me desperately wanting more red-ness in my life. Stunningly perfect!
Now for just the most fun touches of the ultra vibrant and sexy color.

Tablescape Tuesday: the skirted round table

Making your home a warm and cozy palace for your belongings is the ultimate domestic bliss. I have found that one sure way to make a lovely display piece for your most treasured items, aside from bookcases, are lovely skirted round tables. As you all know, I am loving layered fabrics lately and adding fabric to the tables in your home is the perfect way to achieve this look. My first choice is a fun zebra fabric or even a David Hicks pattern will rock your house, too.

girlish charm...soft and dreamy

I have a client who is living the ultimate NYC girl dream. She is adorable and fun, her pre-war apartment in gramercy park is also fabulous. The fun part, is that we are decorating it with total girlish charm. Pinks and purples and soft and dreamy decor. It's just exhilarating! So, today, I am fondly fixated on the deliciousness and dreaminess that is girlish charm...

SUZANIS = insanely gorgeous pattens on textiles...

I adore this gorgeous suzani textile as a headboard. Textiles are one of the perfect additions to your bedroom and will always be a cheaper headboard alternative. Suzanis have been around for a while but I don't think their shine has worn off. Especially in the bohemian chic style realm, their colors and patterns are boho perfection. Am I right???

oh and P.S.
so so so pretty!

style-icious Sunday {you fancy, huh?}

Fabulous, flowing, fancy fabrics have been on my mind lately. Whether it be through fashion or interiors, I have fallen for the look of layered sumptuous fabrics. There is something so very magical about leaping onto a bed full of delicious sheets, pillows and blankets. I also love to touch really opulent drapery. Ugh, I just can't stand how much I love it. I may not have a particular style per se, but I will tell you this...the more fabric in my life, the better!
