The newest online shelter publication: Trad Home
Stop the presses! WWW just announced a new online shelter mag coming this next year, Trad Home. The stylish duo behind Lonny (michelle adams & patrick cline) will be collab-ing with the people behind Traditional Home and bringing their very best! I am beyond thrilled as Tradtional Home & Lonny (aka the current domino) are 2 of my FAVORITE magazines. So many new mags, I'm loving all of this ambition!
Home Tour: white, pink and completely fabulous
Majorly loving this fabulous loft space I found while browsing madebygirl (who doesn't find ridiculously cool stuff on her site..right?). Pinks, purples and red, the very best of the berry hues mingle perfectly with soft creams, browns and whites.
I love the art of a really good mix in decor.

The beautiful white brick wall plays the perfect backdrop to wooden beams and glossy chandelier. Breezy white curtains seal this room with a kiss. Oh, I am so mezmerized.
High-tail it over the the gorgeous gray kitch'...my eye spies a fabulous pink fridge!

secret of domestic bliss #40... unexpected mirrors
Placing mirrors around the home is more than you would think. Mirrors give the illusion of enlarging a space as most of us already know. However, we tend to forget that mirrors also lend to the aesthetic quality of a well decorated room. Irregular, odd and unexpected mirrors are so key in creating a fabulous space. I love the look of non-traditional looking mirrors.
So chic and so right up my decorista alley!
bliss in the kitch'
| via Sanctuary With the holidays fast approaching, this beautiful + quaint kitchen just spoke to my heart. The gorgeous rug made me weak in the knees and the oh so modern eames chairs always capture me. The amazing lighting is what really caught my eye and the beautiful wrapped Chistmas presents. So dreamy. I could totally see myself blissful here on an early holiday morning! |

tablescape tuesday {lavender glamour for the holidays}
As most of you know, I'm just crazy for purple, it is such a rich and luxurious hue. Ever since I was a little girl I wanted a lavender Christmas tree...so this post is so completely special to me. These fabulous table settings are so decadent looking, I just think purple has that effect on things.
And here are some gorgeous purple holiday decorating ideas. I'm smitten.

my style formula...Eclectic Glamour
Inspired my Sketch42's Nicole & her fabulous post about her style formula,
I decided to share mine with you...I define my style as
ECLECTIC GLAMOUR
one part feminine romance...
one part bold & decadent color (like Miles Redd)
part tradition & sophistication (like Mary McDonald)
a hint of shine & gold (like Kelly Wearstler)
and tons of vintage glamour (like Woodson & Rummerfield)!
and just a teeny bit of trendy
its totally hard to define...because I really love it all!

The Decorista tip of the day...go for serene in the bedroom
![]() |
| via livelikeyou This weekend I was in such need for a good nights rest. Then I realized why its so important to make sure your bedroom is a peaceful haven to retire to. I think its perfectly okay to go with very light or no color in the bedroom (even though I am usually all about color). Have you ever noticed how all white bedding is just so inviting? Pattern is more than welcome in a serene bedroom just keep it monochromatic. I am absolutely loving these bedrooms that give my eyes complete peace. So, when decorating your bedroom, make sure to create a place that draws you in. Your body will totally thank you! |
art + room...sophisticated lady
wise words for the weekend!
Today I'm loving toile
I don't know what it is about this terrifically english pattern, but I have always been so attracted to its sophisticated look. On wallpaper, as curtains, or even just a small pillow...toile adds just a beautiful touch in home decor. I have even loved some rooms completely decked out in toile from wall to wall.
So very east coast meets country house chic. My personal obsession is with the more modern versions as shown here, the cute little tori mellot yellow toile wallpapered kitchen has always stolen my heart.
loving it!

The Art of Living...impress your guests in the powder room
The surefire way to make a huge statement in the home is the guest bathroom. It's probably an afterthought when decorating your home, but trust me, everyone notices the powder room.
I adore wallpaper in the powder room. Really dramatic and bold wallpaper is best when its placed in small rooms, like these teeny washroom spaces.
